The Significance of Standing Still

I read this quite some time ago and I believe I got it from Danielle LaPorte.  I came across it again recently in my saved reading material and thought I’d share it today.

I, too, believe that sometimes the best clarity comes when you just stand still.  🙂

North, East, South, and West

Four friends set out

from where they stood.

One went North.  One East.

Another South.

The last one, West.

Each in search of meaning.

Each in search of the

point of their own life.

Three would continue along the

never-ending road of

becoming someone.

Each of them assuming they

needed to be somewhere

other than where they were.

But one would come to know

the significance of standing still.

About Victoria

Hi there! I'm Victoria: wife & mother of three with one pooch living in rural ND. I am a professional photographer turned writer, published author, and side-hustle entrepreneur. I dream of vacationing in Fiji and seeing Matchbox Twenty live (among other things). I firmly believe everything is "figureoutable," and if it doesn't challenge you - it doesn't change you. I also looooooooove coffee. A lot. :D
